    Digging in December

Usually by now I would be thinking about ice fishing, but the weather's been so nice I decided to hit the dump a couple times last week. I found a ton of bottles, but unfortunately most were slicks. I did manage a few keepers though, and besides it's just nice to get outdoors for a while. Hope...

Some Nice Locals and Other Things

I've been out a couple of times in the past couple weeks but haven't been able to post for a while. Anyway, I found some nice local meds and hutches amid the many bottles I found. Unfortunately, the majority were slicks, but at least I'm still finding some old glass. Here are some of the finds...

Back to the Dump, Got Some Nice Locals

Thank goodness for fall break. I was able to hit the dump twice with my dad and brother. We did really good as far as locals go which is always nice. Anyway, here are some of the finds. Two A. Werner hutches and an A. W. Fisher West End Bottling Works blob.

    Another Good Weekend of Digging

I hit the dump with my dad and brother this weekend, and we did pretty good. We got some nice local blobs and some other decent ones. Here are some of the pics. Hope you enjoy. Three different A. W. Fisher blobs.

    Recent Finds

I hit the dump over the weekend and did ok, considering I spent most of the time digging my hole out again after a massive cave-in. All the rain we've been having around here is making the dirt really heavy, and boy is that a pain when you're trying to dig. Anyway, here are some of the pics...

    Another Decent Weekend of Digging

Hit the dump with my dad and brother over the weekend, and we got some nice local blobs and druggists and a bunch of other bottles. With college and everything, I haven't gotten around to cleaning everything, but I'll share some of the cleaned up finds. Enjoy the pics. A nice local blob I had...

    Went Out Again Today

My dad, brother, and I went to the dump we found on Friday for a few hours. We didn't do too bad, and the spot seems like it could yield some decent bottles. Here are some of the finds. Enjoy! A local Fett & Son Blob.

    Checked Out a New Spot

My dad and I went searching for a dump the other day, and we found a spot that seems promising. Overall, we didn't find a whole lot to take home, but every day you find a local blob is a good day, especially if its one you don't have. Below are some of the finds; there aren't too many, but we...

    Odd-Colored Tinct Iodine

One of my dad's Tinct Iodine poison bottles has a very unusual coloring to it. First of all, the bottle is more of a cornflower blue than the more common cobalt. However, from the base of the bottle up to the Iodine embossing, the glass appears to be almost clear with a hint of amber. I tried to...

    Is this a perfume bottle?

My brother has been bugging me to put this bottle on here, so here it is. It is 3 3/8" with a ground lip. It has a very nice red color to it. There are no markings on the bottle. I told him it looked like a perfume bottle, but he wanted me to ask the experts. So, what do you guys think?

    Dunn's Temporary Cement

For the past couple weeks I've been going through some of my dad's collection and cataloguing what bottles he actually has. I came across this amber bottle that is embossed Dunn's Temporary Cement. The bottle is approximately 2 inches tall. I haven't been able to find any information pertaining...

    Info on Michigan Bottle

I found this bottle in a dump from Reading, PA. It's embossed Vegetable & Hemlock Oil Medical Co. Detroit, Mich. I was just wondering if anyone had any information on it. Thanks.

    Reading, PA Hutchinsons

Hey, everybody! This is my first post, but I've browsed through the site every now and then for a year or so. I noticed a lack of bottles from Reading, Pa., so I have decided to post some that my dad, my brother, and I have found over the years. First up is a P and R Bottling Works, A. Werner...
