Hard to read mark, Glasgow pottery

Can anybody read (or more likely recognize) this? The middle of the mark is Glasgow and I believe the bottom says Pottery works, but I can't read the name, McBundy's maybe? Sean

    Albany bottle with chain links?

Can anyone tell me about the bottle on the right? It's an early smooth base with Albany and then either an infiniti symbol or two chain links like a sideways 8. They look more like chain links. Found these yesterday, the Steven Sweet's Infallible Liniment is really early. Thanks, Sean

    Anybody know about cannonballs?

I think that's what this is but I don't know. Any clues appreciated. Sean

    Unlisted ink?

Can anyone tell me what the F.D.A. base embossing on this ink stands for? I can't find it listed in any of my ink books. It's a nice little teal ink with an unfortunate lip chip.

    Cool metal torpedo bottle

Found this in the river the other day, pretty cool huh? I looked around for a rock to bang it against and knock off some of that rust, but I couldn't find one. [;)]

    National Bottle Museum

I was in Ballston Spa, NY last week and got a chance to visit the National Bottle Museum. What a cool little town; we really enjoyed it. The museum is great and was run by some very cool people that it was a pleasure to meet. Here are a few pics, but there was a lot more than this to see; it's...

Another good swim, but in a yucky place.

Did another hazmat recon today, and found boucoup sh!t, both good and bad. Found a good Saratoga bottle but with some condition issues, 2 master inks, a teal Carter's and a very cool Continental Inks and Mucilage that is essentially a giant version of the C-259 shown in Covills, a very old blob...

    Cobalt blue historical flask....

I apologize in advance for using that shameless subject line, but with all the talk about deceptiveness lately I though I might as well! At least this isn't ebay [:)] So here's the story: the other day I'm diving with a friend of mine in the river. Like many river divers, we are strict...

    Old mug?

I found this today, and I thinks it's pretty old. Other than some vertical hairlines around the top it's perfect, and it's very crude and hand-made looking. Any ideas about age/value of something like this? Thanks, Sean

Today was a good day for a swim...

Cause it was hot, and the place we swum was all fulla litter [;)] The real keepers here are a green Bigelow & Co. soda from Springfield, MA, a Langley's Root and Herb Bitters, and a nice crude Rush's Buchu and Iron. There was some nice stoneware and crowntops too, including the second Liberty...

    Thayer's Improved Vegetable Hair Restorative?

I can't find this one listed anywhere, but when I traded it I thought I'd heard of it somewhere. My dive buddy found it today and I traded him for a cobalt JR Nichols that I had two of. Has anyone seen this or have any opinion on how I did with that trade (the Nichols is worth about $200-250, or...

    Date mark website or book?

Hi, I found an ER Durkee dressing bottle with this mark on the base. I know this type of mark is a date mark, and I used to have a book or website that deciphered what they meant, but I can't relocate that for the life of me. Can anyone point me at that again? Thanks! Sean

    Hey Y'all!

Long time no speakie! I've been lurking occasionally but I've been mondo busy this summer and so it's been rare. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and show a couple of keepers I found today. I was working in a river where there has never been a diver apparently, the bottom was littered with old...

    Ruby Sloe Gin

Does anyone know who the "N" refers to on the Ruby Sloe Gin bottles?? I used to think it meant Ruby 'n Sloe gin, but now I think N was the maker. I recently got a labeled sample size which says that the trademark was registered in 1905, but I can't for the life of me find any information about a...

    Roger Dumbrell's book on Ebay

If you are looking for a copy of this, here's one that's currently about half price. Sorry for the late notice; I just now saw it! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=190200748863&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=009

    Which Sagwa older?

I found a Healy & Bigelow's Indian Sagwa yesterday that has a more detailed face than the others I've seen and I was wondering if my guess is correct that this is the older variant of the two shown here (it's the one that's still dirty). Also, my recollection is that these are common bottles...

    Coventry flask shard

Does anyone recognize this shard? I'm trying to put a McKearin Wilson number to it but I can't find it in the tables. The embossing is COVENTRY C-T, and there is a small bit of what I assumed was an eagle right near the break. Thanks for any clues, hope you all are having a good summer! Sean

    Embossing question (warning: heart-breakers)

Hey Y'all, I finally got out to do some diggin this year, and while we didn't find a single thing in one piece, we did find an awfully promising site. Here are some of the shards we found and a question about one of them. They appear to be about 1830s or so, and it was all consistent, no...

    C.C. Doty & Co. bottle

Hey folks, Long time no "see" [:)] I finally got in for some bottle diving with a buddy of mine though, and the other day we had a pretty good hunt. I slashed my thumb open almost right away, and spent the rest of the dive applying pressure and muttering curses, but he found some good...

    Daffy's Elixir

I remember someone was in the market for a Daffy's a while back. This one's a bit pricey in my opinion, but it is purty: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6280906214
