So I stopped by this antique shop today and noticed they has a straight sided coca cola bottle in the case.
This is the first time I had seen one in person. They were asking $65 for it... The Coca-Cola lettering was on the top of the bottom just below the lip. Is this worth anything...
Hey guys. I picked this one up in an antique shop today, it is my first blob top find. I was really excited to find one, any information on it would be great.
It reads:
JC Buffum & Co.
Pittsburgh PA.
I picked this up in an antique store today because I liked its design. Does anyone have any information of its exact date or what was in it? If it has any value let me know.
I always was curious as to why there are bottles in the rivers. How did they get there? When people finished using them did they just throw them in, or did the dumps dump them into the river?
I always found this real interesting and I would like to try a river dig. How do I know where the...
I would love to display some of my favorite bottles on shelves or somewhere else to be seen. I am worried one day a decent sized quake will destroy my whole collection so I am afraid to put them up.
What set-ups would you suggest I use to prevent this?
This find caught me off guard. I had gathered around 50 bottles from the 1930s-1950s and decided to start digging. About 4 inches below the ground I found this 1880s Beer Bottle. I am puzzled how it got there. However, I did find some 1890s medicine bottles on the surface as well, so maybe the...
I found this while digging recently. Well, I wasn't digging, I was walking back from digging and I found this near my spot on the surface.
What is it? Thanks!
I am pretty sure I am digging in an old landfill. I found an 1880s beer bottle about 4 inches below the surface. On the surface it is filled with bottles from the 1940s-1950s. On the top I occasionally find an 1880s medicine bottle too.
I am not exactly certain this is a landfill. How can I...
I found it with some bottles from the 1940s. It stood out to me because the top of the bottle was much longer than the other medicine bottles I was finding, and it has bubbles in the glass.
I stumbled upon this old "warranted flask" bottle recently, and despite searching the internet for a similar bottle, I couldn't find any.
Does anyone have any information about it? I can include more pictures if necessary.
