Howdy all. I am looking at this auction: eBay
Is this bottle really that rare? I have a similar one myself which is why I'm curious.
Also, anyone know of a good price guide for Cincinnati Beers & Sodas? I've already acquired quite a few bottle books, research, and price guides. However...
Howdy I know this is an old post I'm replying to, but I was wondering if there is a name for the brownish pattern of color on the top of the jug and handle? I have a similar stoneware jug with that same thing on it, and I was wondering what it is? Any help would be appreciated!

Howdy all! I have a Perfect Seal which I tracked down in the RB as number 2334. I have 4 examples of this. However, one is unique. All of them are the exact same from design, to the Pat. Pend 4 on the bottoms. However on the neck of one there is what appears to be a "FILL TO HERE" embossment at...
Found this thing recently. Anyone have any idea what it is? the wire rim seems to clamp around the bottom of the bottle to hold it upside down? The seem doesn't seem to go all the way through to the lip. I'm guessing the galvanized chain was added at a later date? The bottle is all one piece...
No shelves for these. I already have a large collection of Cincinnati Sodas and Beers, these will be going to eBay after some research =) They are just bottles from my attic that I inherited and have never seen until now.

Howdy all, I have a little pint size Ball Special jar. Pretty sure it's 301-5 or 301-6 unless I'm totally off my mark. The only problem is the differences seem to be one is more squatty, and one is less squatty? Does that mean like kinda gets wider down at the bottom or something? Also the 301-6...
Outstanding!!! Thanks again Jim! I shall add that one to the growing list of books I've bought recently. RedBook 10, Mouth-Blown Bottle - Kendrick, Bottle Makers and Their Marks, and The Illustrated Guide to Collecting Bottles. Found them all thanks to this forum. I was hesitant to just amazon...
I found an interesting insulator, it's a Hemingray and on the back has Patented May 2 1893. First things first, is there a RedBook for insulators? I checked the resources forum and didn't see anything, and just figured I'd check. The insulator has 3 levels which is really the only thing that...
Thanks Georgeoj for the information! I really do like the effect. I was thinking it was something they intentionally did and here's it's just a part of the everyday process, pretty cool!
