Someone please stop this person!!!

I am a purist when it comes to anything old. If it is not being made anymore it IS a good old bottle. Unless it is damaged. I have nothing against repurposing parts and pieces of old damged items. I respect the age of a piece and mourn when one is lost. I think it is a same to destroy the old...

GREAT 1950s Dump Finds

Hi Bottles. The charm looks to me like a Catholic religous medal, I can't tell from the pic which one, but a lot of those were made of sterling silver; if your's is metal instead of a silver colored plastic, you may want to check for a sterling mark. Jodetta

Purchased a Collection

Jordan, I really do not think it is a sugar bowl. The form is not ike any sugar bowls i have seen . The shape of the neck would make it very difficult to use a teaspoon for scooping the sugar out. I think it is more likely a small vase. I have no idea of maker or age. Could be old and...

Jordan, thanks for the response to my questions. Sorry for my delayed response. My reason for the color question is that what you are describing is referred to as amberina, deep red gradually changed to red, in my experience really old amberina is more pronounced really red to really light...

I think you're right- on with the inkwell ID. Are you sure it's not heavy opaque glass as opposed to porcelain? It looks very similar to some glass ones produced by the Mt. Washington glass company around the turn of the century...However the shiny brass fitting makes me question that it was...

Green Palmer Perfumes

Love the green...I have Salon Palmer perfumer bottle , clear, round, with great embossing and original stopper that I picked up a month ago at an ohio estate, but i like your green one better!

help with HIMALYA bottle

Hi, got this bottle at estate auction. Is it by the same New York company I found which includes kola compund and cure for asthma in the embossing? Would it have contained the same type of cure. Is Himalya the name of an herb? It is 7 3/4". Thanks for any insights. Jodetta

quart violin bottle

RE: quart violin bottle Function? I have two of these and have had others...I have always thought them to be wall pocket vases that fit in metal brackets for hanging on the wall.Is this true or did these bottles actually fuction as commercial bottles ? Jodetta
