    Pepsi -Carnivalized!

Alright, haven't been on here since forever, but been actively finding some really great stuff! I'm mostly in the pontil area of things, so this is the only post-1900 item I've bought since the beginning years of collecting. Here's something that has me stumped; a Pepsi-Cola bottle that is...

    St. Louis area digging!

Hit me up. Town from the 1700s and heavy industry, there's tons to be found.

    Hutch embossing error- found!

Here's an unusual find, and where it was. Just moved to St. Louis, so I'm starting to look in dug holes in construction. This hole is near the railroad, just west of downtown. It did all the nasty rain and flooding, too. Well, I can see plenty of threaded glass 30's junk broken, but saw a blob...

    Post your jewels!

So, being an insulator collector on a bottle forum, it's pretty hit and miss to see something new or stunning. Not that everyone's insulators aren't their own jewels, but the best ones seem to fade from the forum in time. There's another more concentrated venue for insulators, but it is fun to...

    Please help with flask ID

I've since learned more and more about the historical flasks, but this one has stumped me again, and again, and again. I've looked over all the Group II flask pictures, and then all the descriptions, and have not been able to find this one. Today was the third time I re-read about every GII...

St. Louis round bottom bottle - O'Brien

This is my favorite St. Louis bottle, finally acquired one. The bottle is a round bottom, and applied top. Dates somewhere from 1863 to 1867. Has two weird dots on either side of the bottom mold line. It's embossed; JOHN. O'BRIEN AGTS?. LOUIS. Mo. I'm curious on the rarity and value (I can...

    Historical geometric flask find!

Today at the antique store, found this beauty hiding between some crap. Almost missed it! GVIII-2 in a beautiful grassy green

    Historical Flasks

I'm still looking for historical flasks! Anyone interested in selling, please PM me! Looking now for a Washington Calabash, and pretty much anything under $250. Let me know, thank y'all!

    Masonic-Lafayette flask

So, I'm having a hard time understanding the whole 'brick pavers' counting to find the exact flask mold. My Lafayette-Masonic flask has only 4 rows of bricks, adding up to 18 pavers. The closest example to mine is GI-89, and looking at other examples, I still ain't counting that many bricks...

    another flask id

Couldn't find anything on this one, it's a half pint with keyed base, and the eagle is about the same on both sides except one is a little larger and off center. No shield on the eagle's breast, which makes it my only non-shielded eagle. Applied band This one has tons of character! There are...

    Unusual historic flask

I've got a weird one. Never seen anything like this. An ugly bust surrounded by a Laurel wreath. On the backside, a non-centered eagle with a panel embossed UNION. Keyed smooth base. No pontil. Any idea on G# and value is much appreciated. I looked up and down the interweb for one like it. Thanks!

    Small smelling salts?

This is a dug find in Columbia, MO and I have no idea what it is. Just a tad taller than the common Bromo bottle. Assuming it could be a smelling salts bottle, the top is tooled. The embossing is a star, with a faint monogram on the star, possibly a C, R, and an A. There are little protruding...

    WANTED: Historical Flasks

Still looking to amass a nice historical flask collection. So far, in less than a years time, I've added over 75 flasks. I'm most interested in calabashes, GII eagles, geometric designs, Masonic, and the misc. flasks (with other pics). Open to just about anything. I have cash, bottles, and...

    Fish keeping and aquascaping

Thought I would share another hobby that often crosses paths with collector's of insulators and bottles. Fish keeping is a relatively new hobby of mine (3 years), but serves many purposes in my life. Originally, fish were just going to be a living decoration, much like that 15 year old...

    Hemingray made GE Refrigerator bottle

This is a cool machine made bottle; but of course, the pic comes out looking like crap. Before Owens Illinois took over the Hemingray plant (1933?), this refrigerator bottle was made for the General Electric refrigerators with the slat vent compressor on top. This one is ice blue, and embossed...

    Hemingray Santa Ana style

Very little insulator action on this forum, so here's a scarce high-voltage insulator made just before the turn of the 20th century. The style is the 'Santa Ana' (CD 178), which is seen made by a couple other manufacturers. This one was made by Hemingray, and bears a prismatic embossing...

    Missouri!

Have been wanting to dig this fall, now that the weather is starting to cool down. Looking for someone interested in digging near central Missouri, or I am willing to travel. Eyeing Sedalia, Sturgeon, and Arrow Rock. Missouri has been difficult in turning up pre-1900 stuff, unless you're in...

    Looking for historical flasks

Hello all, I've got a keen interest in preserving early insulators and their history, along with my love for historical whiskey/spirit flasks. We all pretty much have this mentality, it's what defines us as 'collectors', or to some, 'junk hoarders'. I am looking to buy, and/or put rarer...

    Jeny Lind GI-103

Recently acquired the GI-103 misspelled Jeny Lind, open pontil and strong blue color. This one lacks' Glass Factory' over the house, reverse side.

    Russell's Mineral Water question

Recently found someone with Rousell's Mineral Water, other side Dyottville Glass Works, in a true teal color with an iron pontil. Did I mention it is near mint? My question to the census is; how rare is this beauty, and what would something like this be worth? I ask because the seller, a...
