Been a while since I've posted much but with the cold setting in as well as the boredom, I was wondering, is there any way of getting rust off of something like this without damaging it? Should I bother cleaning this just simply because of the risk of damage? Any opinion is appreciated, I've...
I kinda thought it may be a bit new looking to be anything of any value but I don't know a whole lot about bottles before 1880-1900. Anyway, it has a pontil on the bottom of it and it looks like it is the same style of bottle making as I'm used to seeing in older ones. I just think the condition...
I was searching random bottles from my state (New Hampshire) on E-bay and I came upon this "RARE" one...apparently I've gotta tell my cousin because he's got a few of theses...actually, so do I! [:D] [;)]...
Started this morning with the plan to go digging bright and early, be there by 7 - 7:30 the latest.. Ended up getting stuck doing things until about 2:00 this afternoon x.x .. I decided, screw it, I might as well give it a go anyway, and I'm glad I did! =) I ended up with a few keepers today...
This may be more common than I'm hoping but I haven't been able to find any online. I was only able to find out a bit of information over Google describing the bottle, and the contents, (Ginger ale).
I dug this blob top "Aetna Bottling Co Concord, NH"...

I was wondering if anyone could possibly show me the jar that this lid came off of. "The Wein no 2 Pat Mar 1 32' ' April 16 1901' . I tried searching for it and came up empty. Thanks for any information in advance =)
Recently hit a place up north with my cousin and came across this straight green Coke bottle embossed with "Coca-Cola Berlin NH". I was curious if this was actually a Coke bottle, or some other product by them? I saw one of them on E-bay for $60 labeled as Scarce, but I never know with E-bay...
I was a bit curious what these jars may have held. They don't give much in the way of information besides saying "Poison" one vertically, one horizontally. Any info appreciated, just my first poison embossed jars.
I have had a question nagging at me for a while now... Are green colored, embossed Julip bottles harder to come by? I haven't been able to find many examples online, let alone local ones, but I had found one from Manchester, NH in one of our local digs. Could be a noob question, but I've gotta...
Went out digging today with my Cousin, Chris "Glassgopher721". Ended up going a bit off track and found a different cellar hole than we were planning on hitting. Good thing we stuck there because I ended up finding my best finds so far! My first local porcelain sign, and my first Jug find...
I wasn't sure how old this one was, (before or after 1900). I've seen a lot of P.Harrington and sons bottles, but not many without the sons, and all of the ones that I have seen didn't say "Registered", or "This bottle not to be sold" in the same places, or at all.
I assume it's not a...
I was asked by my uncle to toss this up here. He believes it may be an electric fence insulator of some sort but wanted to know for certain, pics to follow.
we found it near an old area by the ocean in a tide pool where we had found a lot of old shards of bottles.
It is made of a clay/stone...
While bottle digging in one of my cousin "Glassgopher721"'s hot spots with my uncle, I dug below an area we had gotten alot of 1890s ish bottles and shards I came up with this pottery bottle looking thing. I was just curious if anyone knew anything of these type of things and could tell me any...
Went on a bottle dig with Glassgopher721 in one of his honey holes and had a couple of questions on a few bottles. I was wondering if anyone had any information and/or a picture of a full labelled version of them...
The First Bottle
all I could make out of the label was "Sunny Side" and...
Was checking out nearby a cellar hole in the woods, and came upon what looks to be an old model A or T frame and part of the body. (you may know more than I)
After this I started digging by the cellar itself, and ended up with 5 horseshoes within about 45 min
Just figured...
