Story: Yesterday I was shopping at my favorite honey hole and there is the lamp area. Just the typical cheap thrift store lamps. But wait….. notice anything? You need a keen eye….
What’s this? Let’s remove the ugly 1960’s shade and what do we have?
Let’s remove the...
I can't find any information on this particular 6 1/2 inch "Rushton & Co. Chemists New York" bottle.
Has anyone out there ever seen another example of this bottle? Is it listed in any reference book? or am I holding the only known example?

2022 FOHBC Bottle Show & Sale in Reno NV - Bottle shows are back! and if you know what to look for you can get some great deals especially if you can wait until closing. I don't collect whiskey bottles, but I have always wanted at least one early eastern whiskey. I got such a great deal now I...
I went to my favorite honey hole today and picked up this lot of EAPG Miniature Kerosene Oil Lamps for $40. All in excellent condition with original shades. I can't find any of these designs online so they must be very rare.
Anybody know anything about these?
You all did so well with the last embossing mystery (RC&E = Reed, Carnick & Edwards) let's try another.
This bottle stands 8 inches tall and holds 16oz. It is BIM with a tooled prescription lip. Across the front in a square is "M. J. & Co." The period after the J is faint but it is there. I...
I found this bottle at a yard sale and paid $1.
Clear, BIM, tooled top, 7 3/4" height x 2 3/8" square, embossed on one panel "Riker".
Based on the Mortar and Pestle that surrounds around the R in Riker and the crossed legs on the R and r it appears to be from the same Riker pharmacy associated...
WOW, I am on a picking roll this week. I went to my favorite estate liquidation place today 12/31/21 and purchased these two beauties with original stoppers for just $32 each! Pinch me.....
I recently acquired these three porcelain or ceramic bottle caps and I am curious exactly how they were used or attached to a bottle and how rare are they?
I went to my favorite estate liquidation place and scored all you see for less than $20 total. Porcelain is not in my area of expertise but at that price I couldn't resist. Don't you just love picking and then figuring out what I have.
1) J. Sansbury's Bloater Paste - excellent condition, this...
Wanted: Wm R Warner & Co. Pint (16oz) Square or Oval Bottle.
As an example I attached pictures of an amber 12oz bottle that is unfortunately severely cracked.
The bottle I am looking for would be taller than the pictured example at 7 1/2 to 8 inches in a square or oval. Like the pictured...
Finally a BOTTLE SHOW!!!! and a very nice addition to my collection. A round Wm R Warner & Co. in green.
She is 7 7/8" tall by 2 3/4" wide, BIM with a perfectly tooled top and smooth bottom. She looks good with my Parke, Davis & Co. collection.
A friend of mine just obtained two more of these little 5 inch beauties. To our surprise the one in the middle has a "W.T. & Co." on the bottom. The one on the left has only a (mold) number on the bottom and the one on the right has no bottom mark. Second picture is next to another "W.T. & Co."...
Happy 4th of July!!
I watched this bottle on eBay for at least a year and lost interest. A month or so ago I put it in my watch list again and having been on eBay for years the seller made me a good offer. See first picture. Perhaps some of you saw this bottle described as "Antique 8" Black...
Ok you experts here is a challenge. I have some ideas but lets see what you think..
I was born and raised in Maryland. My mother spent her entire adult life picking antiques and primitives along the eastern seaboard including Amish and Mennonite communities, etc.
She gave this compote to my...
