    I think acl started in 35' I have a jumbo cola 1935 Owens Illinois bottle. I don't necessarily think this bottle is that old but it is the only one I have with the city on the acl in the back. If they are not OI bottles I really don't much trust the dating of those. I like it though a cool old...

    Bob, I hope this helps some. The four bottles to the left are from the '30s. The bottles, from the left, are as follows: 1942, 1943, 1943, 1945.

    I cant remember where I read it but I think the 1935 alkaiine bottles were only made in Huntington West Virginia. Not sure if it is correct but I live about an hour from there and have searched antique stores there a few times with no luck. There used to be a large Owens Illinois plant there...
