Is it safe to use CLR on a bottle?
CLR is a strong base so it works well when trying to dissolve a base (chemistry law "likes dissolves likes"). My favorite acid to use is muratic acid (mix of sulfuric and hydrochloride) which is brick cleaning acid. If your unsure of the substance staining the bottle, which I am all the time...- ENCPearce

Looking form Ideal Dairy Bottle from Hamlet NC
