Bought this bottle at a yard sale last week and did some research on the guy who imported it Alfred Hart this guy got his start working for Al Capone,how cool is that. I paid $2 for it the history alone.
Nice finds. How many names are on the bricks? In all the time I've been digging I've only found two with names on them. I think they are cool but hard to find in my area...
Found this bottle and there is info on puritas water later becoming arrowhead water.The Los Angeles Ice & Cold Storage Co.Los Angeles Cal. Bottle is not sold.This company i cant find info on? The bottom says Puritas P.C.G.W pacific coast glass works. 1902-1924 Need help finding this company.
I dug this bottle a few years ago and i don't know the value.I do know there are a few of them this one is vary dark amber it,s 9 1/2 in tall and has S.F.& P.G.W twice on the bottom.
ABM bottle i dug turn of the century trash hole not a fan but this one was different.It has embossing it says M.A.Newmark.Co I don't know the value or what it was or what was in it? But the history of it is very interesting.Very cool. Maurice Harris Newmark
Thanks Bear. Is there any such thing as a dry hole? A friend told me he dug one no water had gotten to every thing he pulled out still had the labels on them he said.
I have found cans under a house that still have the paper labels on them and dates 1880's to 1906 the top of the house was covered but the sides where open. Old evaporated milk cans.
