    colored milks

    found a dump today with a lot of broken milk bottles that were all amethyst colored. Any guess on what time frame these were from? Going back with tools to find the whole ones.

    Forgot to add. Dont put the collar on bare skin, they will poison you. And Bens can be found in any sporting goods store, its good stuff.

    A friend of mine told me they are putting flea collars in the care packages to send her son in Iraq for that very reason. The fleas and ticks are horrible in the sand so the guys put the collars around their boots or pant legs. May be a good trick to try in the fields here.

    Hey Paddla, I posted this question elsewhere and never got a reply. What are those marbles made from? I found some in a cellar with my metal detector. They didnt ring out like a coin but gave a soft reading even out of the ground. Any ideas why?

    What was that first bottle you found that got you hooked?

    1972,a small dump out behind the house my mother found while putting in a garden. My first find was a 1/2 gallon Buffalo Lithia Water, aqua and beautiful. Addicted erer since.

    Dundee Marmalade

    Nice jars arent they. We have this particular one and another with no printed dates.Never did find out what they may be worth. The one you show, we dug out of an old farm dump in nearly perfect condition.The other with no date was purchased for three dollars to place next to the nicer one.
