Got a tip on where to go in a river.WOW!!!!!

Looks like some local Chicago bottles there. I am always looking for 1920's and 1930's crown tops and food bottles made by Hemingray Glass Co. Looks like you might have a couple in there. They would be lite aqua/ice blue colored. Bob Stahr

Bottle bottoms with elaborate maker's mark found near Toledo

I think I see a 20N marking below the logo. That would indicate the bottle was made in 1920 at the Newark, OH American Bottle glass factory. My guess is Edward Mohr Bottling Co. Toledo Ohio.

    Weirdo demijohn? Or something else?

This looks very much like bottles made by the McLaughlin Glass Co. They made a bunch of 5 gallon water bottles and in the 1950’s made some that were used as lamp bases and other decorator items. McLaughlin also made glass insulators. They were from California and these usually show up out that way.

    Vernor’s first ACL

I collect bottles manufactured by the Hemingray Glass Company. Among those they produced a bottle nearly identical to this one, in a more slightly ice blue color. I am sure you know what I am talking about if you have collected their bottles for some time. The painted label one you posted is...

New York bottle and/or Wisconsin bottle?

From the internet: Traditionally, the name of Prairie du Chien came from the French for Prairie of the Dog, an early Fox chief who lived on the prairie. French Canadians engaged in the fur trade settled on the island by the river, and the fur trade made the first major economic impact on the...

Made between 1902 and 1910, by various glass companies from Elmer, NJ for General Electric.

The ketchups, horseradishes, and such would be similar to the Wayne County; machine made in that ice blue/aqua coloring

Wanted 1920's & 1930's Crowntop and food bottles

Yes, I collect exclusively Hemingray and related items. This goes back to their beginnings in 1848, through the sale to Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in 1933 and continues with Owens-Illinois Muncie, IN plant (old Hemingray plant) until it’s closing in 1972.

    Pay day dice bottle

This bottle was patented in 1925 and comes in 2 sizes. The ice blue/aqua colored glass ones were made by the Hemingray Glass Co. like the attached picture. They seem run from $20-30 in nice clean condition.

Thanks Robby. I've been hunting this version since 1997. Whenever you may decide a trader of another version of a Wayne County will work for you, let me know.
