what is it?
Possibly a part of an old rat trap. It looks a "rat trap" bike pedal which were presumably named for their resemblance to rat traps from the same era. Just a thought.- WesR

Thanks. My property is at the very end of an old dirt road (now paved) that dead ends at a creek. I'm pretty sure a part of my property (just N. of Huntsville TX) sits on top of an older forest dumping sight.
