    Canada Dry bottle...

I have found a Canada Dry bottle, on the bottom it has the numbers 5057 and says Canada Dry. Does anyone know how old this is? I'm not familiar how to date a bottle by what is embossed on the bottom. It's a pretty bottle. Thank you!

    Westinghouse, old spoon, little iron...

It is about 3", and it's a sad iron? I didn't know that they were made that small for actual use, or that they are rare. Thank you for the info! :)

    Grant Bros. Druggists and Opticians

Here is the 1871 coin that has the hole in it. It looks has if it has been scrubbed! or polished so hard that it has a shiny metalic look about it. Maybe someone wore it as a on a necklace? It certainly does not have the original patina. Very interesting. I will go back to that site soon, maybe...

Fresh out of the dirt, but what is it?

Ink bottle I think that is a possibility! Never thought about an ink jar. I found this one a few years ago in the back yard. It has dried ink inside. Have you ever seen one like this? Maybe from early 1900's? Thank you.

    Westinghouse, old spoon, little iron...

Sharing some of my recent finds over the past week. Westinghouse 55A radio plate, this would have been on the front of the radio, 1920's. I love this! I can imagine the family sitting all around the radio and listening to broadcasts and old time music. 1800's silver nickel spoon, was about 8...

    Grant Bros. Druggists and Opticians

Coins Here are some of the coins I have found. The 1871 Prince Edward Island one is very neat, and I have 2. I found the other at a cellar hole and that one has a hole in it! I think someone may have put it up on a wall, maybe for good luck? I will post that one tomorrow here. :o

    Grant Bros. Druggists and Opticians

For sure yes and thank you. When the rain moves out I will dig in that area. I found parts of a coal oil lamp, porcelain doll, pottery shards, and skate blades..leather boots still attached but they fell off when I pulled them out. I won't post those here because they are not bottles but it does...

Thank you! The frost should be gone soon. We've had some warm days recently. The sun does not shine on that side of the hill so the soil takes a bit longer to warm up.

    Grant Bros. Druggists and Opticians

Thank you! It's a first local druggist bottle for me. This area has lots of bottles all different ages, but the really old ones are under rocks and I am very lucky to pull one out intact. When the field was being cleared of rocks, they tossed the rocks down the embankment and that smashed many...

    Grant Bros. Druggists and Opticians

Easter Sunday find. A bottle that was made in the U.S.A., for a druggist company in my province of Nova Scotia. Bottle says Grant Bros. Druggists and Opticians New Glasgow and Stellarton. I live in the same county. Embossed on bottom W.T. & Co. U.S.A., these mostly date from 1875-1900. In 1901...

Fresh out of the dirt, but what is it?

Thank you! I have cleaned it up and it looks lovely sitting with my collectibles. I could imagine it either way, candy container or lightning rod pendant.:)

Fresh out of the dirt, but what is it?

Yes! I think you are right. Looks very much like a lightening rod pendant, how cool! Thank you.:)

Fresh out of the dirt, but what is it?

I think it's possible that it could be an antique pendant light globe. They would thread into the light fixture. Maybe candy container, yes. Found other items in same area, cobbler made leather shoes, very old, turn of the century. Thank you for your help.

Fresh out of the dirt, but what is it?

Hello, found this beautiful bottle..? It has a light mauve colour to it, and the shape is unique. It can't stand up, but what type of bottle is this? If it even is a bottle, or could it be from a light fixture? Found with items from late 1800's to early 1900's. It has a thread at the top, so it...
