It's hard to say... living so close to the bottling company, I figure someone knew someone that worked there and gave them the bottle... who knows just speculation lol

    Best bottle cleaning tool. (DIY)

I use fine grit pool filter sand, works really well... I have a rock tumbler that I use to clean brass with a stainless steel medium... I wonder if it would work on glass?

    Local soda bottle

Actually it was nice to find a unbroken soda bottle in the dump I'm digging on... my dad knew both families that lived in that house and they loved to shoot... front label was toast, but did manage to save the back... pretty cool to find one from one of the area bottling companies of this...

    Found my first dump spot!

You can find alot of great info on glass bottle marks. Com... that's a owen Illinois mark... the 2 is Huntington wv... stippling on the bottom began in 1940 with that company... its random (done by hand) and not concentric (machine) so I'd say it's probably a 1940 bottle

    Sure seal

Thanks for the response... I'm looking for info like did ball make it as a off brand... was it a competitor... it was a fun find

    Sure seal

Found this yesterday (Sure Seal)... all that pops up on the internet is ball types... I'd like to get more age specific and any info... no marks on base, just a line in the center (one?)... thanks
