    Possible display option?

Some of us have a couple of loose wires... :D

    Thanks so much!

    Possible display option?

Looks like another deep dive down a rabbit hole.

    Possible display option?

Yes, clearly I have a lot more to learn about wiring. All I know how to do is a basic lamp with an inline switch. So many ideas, so few skills….

    Possible display option?

They look great in sunny windows, but this would also let them shine during the night.

    Possible display option?

Thanks! I’m planning to make a few more and hoping there will be a market for them.

    Possible display option?

Does this seem like something a collector would want to use for a display or accent lighting? (I don’t think these particular insulators are anything special— just an example of how it would be used.) It’s an old metal shelf fitted with 4 low-wattage led bulbs.

    WTB Looking for antique bottle

Seems a little smaller than what we’re looking for. But thank you for taking the time to check into it for me!

If you can find any that are 12 or more inches, cork top, with clear unscratched glass, I am definitely interested.

    WTB Looking for antique bottle

Seems like a fun way to pass the time! Mostly I just search through flea markets and junk yards LOL. I guess we'd rather have a cork top than a twist off. Something fairly tall, 12 or so inches, and very nice clear glass. Do any of yours seem to fit?

I like the size and shape, especially the one on the left. Can you tell me about the clarity of the glass? It's hard to tell from the picture.

The one on the right might work. How tall is it?

    WTB Looking for antique bottle

My husband is planning to build a ship in a bottle. He wants to use an antique wine or similar shape bottle. Here is one he made many years ago which shows an idea of what he’s looking for.

Flea market find with odd etching

Yes, thank you, the Owens-Illinois logo is on the bottom. It’s a capital I inside an O which is supposed to indicate that it was manufactured after 1954. On the side, near the bottom edge, is an underlined 10, or possibly the letters IO. Is this also an Owens-Illinois logo? It seems...

Flea market find with odd etching

Wow! that is what it is! A search using the right terms brings up many more examples, including these from the same company as mine. https://etsy.me/3ij3yKH I don’t see etching on any of the these others, though. I wonder if it also had something to do with syrup or if the bottle was reused...

Flea market find with odd etching

The shape of this reminds me of lab equipment. I’ve been able to figure out that it was made by the Owens-Illinois Glass Company post-1954. The bottom has G-1775 above the logo, 3 on the left, 5 on the right, and 5 below the logo. There is an underlined 10 (or possibly IO) on the lower edge...
