    Finds from this week

Spent this past week in Ohio visiting family, and managed to visit some antique shops along the way. Found some nice bottles, as well as a Thermo antifreeze can, and a Swallow's Root Beer bottle topper. Also grabbed this wooden dashboard which I believe is off of a REO Speedwagon. Also, a...

    My finds from this weekend

I had a great time at the Somers Antique Bottle show yesterday. I got this nice Country Club Ginger Ale bottle from the 1930s, and this Hubbard Bro's milk bottle from West Springfield.

Some nice local bottles and advertising from today

Had a successful day of antiquing this afternoon. Managed to find four Country Club quart bottles dating from the early 50s to mid 60s, plus a West Springfield Par-T-Pack quart. A Greenfield/Turners Falls football schedule with a nice Coca-Cola ad. And a Bissell's Dairy box and playing card...

I think I did pretty well for five dollars

I managed to find two boxes containing mostly vintage soda and beer bottles for sale on the Facebook marketplace for only 5 dollars! Needless to say, I had to take advantage of such a good deal. There were a lot of duplicate bottles in the mix, so here are the ones I am going to keep. There are...

Has anyone seen the bottles in this Nehi/RC poster before?

Got this today. I believe it's new old stock from the sixties.

Paper Country Club Ginger Ale advertising piece. Anyone know what it is?

Bought this Country Club Ginger Ale display today at Brimfield Antique Flea Market. Does anyone have any clue on what it is or what it was used for?

Miniature soda bottles in their original box

Picked these up the other day in an antique store. Miniature Orange Crush, Mission Beverages, 7up, Pepsi-Cola, Hires Root Beer, and Canada Dry.

Same mold, same city, different companies

I have these two soda bottles from Springfield, Massachusetts. One is X-Tra Jr Beverages from the X-Tra Bottling Co, and it's made by the Glenshaw Glass Co. The other is Nocafeen from the Nocafeen Co, and it's made by the Thatcher Glass Manufacturing Co. I thought it was weird that these 2...

    Help with insulator

Does anyone know anything about this insulator? It reads Fred M. Locke Victor NY No 14 pat May 22, 1894. I'm curious if it's anything rare.

Todays finds from a new 1930s dump

I went to a dump site today that I found this winter. I was able to find a 28-ounce Country Club bottle, a Hebe Co soda bottle, an Old Quaker whiskey, and a Rawleigh's. Lots of broken milk bottles too.

Does anyone know why my beer bottle has a 1923 date code?

I have this Rubsam & Horrmann beer bottle made by the American Bottle Company with 23 N marked on the heel. Prohibition would have been active at this point, so I'm not sure how it could have been produced. My only guess is that the bottle was used to bottle soda so the company could survive...

Value of my amber, art-deco Chocolate Soldier

I bought this bottle at an antique store today, and I was wondering what the approximate value would be. I bought it for $20, and I'm not looking to resell, I just want to make sure I didn't overpay for a common bottle.

Found 2 more dumps at the end of my street

I decided to go poking around at the end of my street, this time at a different spot. I came across some more modern garbage from the rich houses, but I ended up coming across 2 more dumps. The First was mostly from the 1960s to the 1970s, with some modern stuff mixed in. Right next to it was a...

Does Anyone Know How to Remove Paint from Old Signs?

I bought this 1950s Country Club Quality Beverages sign today, but at some point, someone had painted it green. A little bit of the original paint is peeking through, and I can tell it was red with a black border, with Country Club and Beverages written in white and Quality in black. I already...

    Weird Milk Top

Does anyone know anything about what this milk top is called, or how old it is? This top is .875 inches tall, while the usual top is .625 inches tall. It also has a ring running around about halfway down. Thanks.

Found a New 1920s to 1930s Dump Today, with Rhode Island and New York Beers

I was exploring the woods at the end of my street when I found a stone wall. I didn't think much of it, but I followed it until I came across a pile of metal. I thought it was modern trash, because it was behind some $700,000 to $1.3 million dollar homes, and there were plastic planters all...

Any Info on My Nesbitt's Orange Juice Bottle

I bought what I believe to be a Nesbitt's Orange Juice bottle from an antique store today. It had been filled with styrofoam and had a Peplau's Dairy cap from New Britain, CT. On the base, it has the design patent 98373, which Nesbitt Fruit Products Inc filed in 1935. I bought the bottle for $7...

Whip City Soda from the Westfield Bottling Company, Westfield Mass

Dug this 1929 Whip City Soda in Montgomery, Massachusetts at one of my favorite spots this spring, still with the cap and original contents.
