Welcome aboard Shawn M, Congratulations, What a great find!!! I would spend a lot of time looking all around that barn and anywhere they might have had an old outhouse or thrown away any trash. Roy

    Rhode Island Blob Top

Hi Semar The letters are easy to see on this bottle when you are holding it in your hand, just harder to see in a picture. I haven't done any research on it so I don't know what it might have held. Roy

    Rhode Island Blob Top

Semar, Thanks for starting this thread with your Holley Mineral Spring Water bottle. I didn't realize there were so many of the larger blob tops. I only have one that I can think of so I dug it out of the attic. Mine is clear with a tooled top and is embossed...

Very very nice. I see one extremely rare one, possibly one of a kind, near the middle with a smile on it! Roy

    PRIVY DIG HEALTH HAZARD

Thank you, I know there have been times I should have been wearing a mask, and definitely safety glasses, or goggles as I usually go alone. Roy

To clean or not to clean?

    I'll check when I get a chance, I can't remember.

To clean or not to clean?

Semar, Thanks for the vote of confidence but I'm still learning how to tumble myself. I only do inexpensive bottles at that, plus my time is very limited right now. My tumbler is sitting idle now as I have to many other things going on, so I would have to say no. Others on this forum tumble all...

To clean or not to clean?

I would say yea to tumbling it. Here is one I did. I couldn't find a picture from before I tumbled it but the finish looked very much like the chemists bottle next to it in the first picture. Roy

To clean or not to clean?

My 2 cents. Some collectors like their bottles like that, but I don't. I like them to sparkle as they did when they were new. It reminds me of a nice classic car or truck with the primer coming through the old paint. It just needs a bit of work to restore it to it's original beauty. Having said...

    Help me date this one.

I would also love to know if it is possibly a CT bottle. If I find anything pertaining to its origin, I will post it on here. Roy

Did some trading with a friend recently.

    I'll second that. Roy

    Help me date this one.

No mold lines, very little wear on the bottom or anywhere else. About 12.5 inches tall, and wobbles on a flat table. Might have been covered in wicker. I'm thinking its early 1800s, American made. What do you think? Roy

    Non-embossed crown top

They look good together. I've seen much worse for sale in a local thrift store I visit on occasion. Roy

    A NEW APPRECIATION

I dug this bottle maybe 30 years ago. I never even cleaned the mud off of it. Took it out of a box the other day and said to myself, gosh, I wonder what that bottle would look like if it was cleaned? Three days later, here it is, and I'm super happy with it. Turn mold with loads of bubbles, and...
