Tons of high point wear. You are probably spot on with that it was carried for decades. It was probably tossed when the individual died in the teens or 20s. Sad. Could have been a family heirloom for the owners family, but they didn’t care. It’s now going to be my family heirloom
Back from my little hiatus!
Yesterday while digging in the 1920s dump, I came across this spectacular find!
A CIRCA 1860 “For Pikes Peak” historical flask!
The bottle has some minor damage on the lip and a bits on the base but it faces up exceptionally well!
No Ceredo variety.
It was sitting...
I went digging again at this dump for the last time until August.
And it was bittersweet but the ground gave up some of my best finds yet.
Highlights include a nice Gin-Gera from Greensboro in remarkable shape
And by far one of my best complete sodas and by far the rarest straight side...
Went out and dig for like 6ish hours today and found some miscellaneous bottles, but these two were the real stars of the show!
I can’t pronounce the name of this chemical but it’s from Wilmington NC so it’s pretty cool.
