Yep, phone formatting is a challenge. I do have my best luck with windows formatting but even this can send you down unwanted worm holes.

I have some questions about Ball jars that need answering.

It's documented that when the Ball brothers were in production in their Buffalo plant back in the early days that bottles were a segment of the business, along with fruit jars.

    American Bottle Works

Looking for info. on clear soda ? embossed with American Bottling Works Buffalo N,Y. She's a blob top ,12 oz. I'd say. This bottle has me stumped. If it's a beer it was a company never registered or listed by the City of Buffalo.

Found a new dump in the woods

See Wikipedia on Patio history. It's a 60's and 70's short lived label. It was a cheap alternative to the major labels and readily available on our side of the Niagara.

Muskoka Dry certainly has lots of regional interest. Have you come across any Temagami Dry bottles that date to late 50's early 60's? Lots of late 70's bottles out there but fewer older than that. Same with Muskoka Dry. My family owned a cabin in Temagami district for 80 years and I have been...

    Help identifying a bottle

As I digest the info. of your worksite, that is the old merchants area for canalside, am I correct? That area built Buffalo to be the key merchant area for the great lakes. Gotta be some cool stuff in the ground just waiting to be found.

    Help identifying a bottle

Nice info. Definitely a very desirable piece of glass here in the Buffalo N.Y. area. Hard to come by. (it would fit into my collection soooo good!) Thanks for the contributing data all!

    Help identifying a bottle

I found it. I have no info. on who made the bottle but I would venture to guess that seeing the style of bottle it was either Lockport Bottle Works OR Lancaster Bottle Works. I lean more towards Lancaster (N.Y.). Below is a snip showing years of operation and exact address in Buffalo of Burr &...

Definitely more comfortable on a computer. I joined yesterday off a computer then today after battling the site to get device recognition I was shocked on the format difference. Just more to learn. Learning is tiring...

    First Privy Dig

Wells, LeRoy N.Y. Very common, especially here in W. N.Y. Age around 1900 - 1910. Still it looks in good shape and it will display

A big Western New York hello and good morning!

Cool. We are only 35 minutes from border but still kinda surprised you found Lockport glass there. Fruit jars I'm guessing? Where in Ont. you located? I have spent a humongous amount of time in Temagami district. Family owned cabin there for 60 years.
