Saw this on ebay a short time ago and it caught my eye. It appears to be a clear KV-1 with poison embossed on the left panel. My book does not show these in clear -- anyone have more up to date information on the KV-1 varients ? It sold for around $46.00.
Here is a picture. The description...
I picked up a new poison bottle but am having a tough time figuring out what Kahn ID it is. Can someone help ? Here is a picture - I apologize for the quality but it was the best I could get with the camera on hand.
I belive the bottle to be a KC-52 but it also looks similar in my books to...
I recently added this beauty to my collection. I picked it up at a garage sale. The lady told me she found it when she was cleaning out some boxes of her mothers stuff from the attic. He mother passed away a few years ago.
It is an 8oz KS-1 with stopper in mint condition. I already have...
I have an opportunity to purchase a 16oz KI-4 in mint condition but the prices in my books are all out of date. Does anyone have an idea of the going rate for these bottles - especially in this size ? Thanks
I recently purchased a KO-6 and what appears to be a KO-5 variant on ebay. My Kuhn books list the KO-5 which is embossed with poison on both side but does not show any variants.
Can anyone confirm that this is a KO-5 variant ?
It appears the same as a KO-5 but does not have the embossed...
I know I have seen these on here before but I was wondering - is there any type of an identifications system (like Kuhns) for the various "pocket poison" bottles ?
I have many different shapes and sizes and was just curious. Here is an example.
Can anyone help identify the following three bottles. They are poisons, but I belive they are newer since they are not embossed and I cannot find anything on them in my Poison Bottle Guidebooks. Do you know if they are assigned Kuhn numbers ?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...
Another little puzzle I hope someone can assist me with.
According to Rudy Kuhn's Poison Bottle Workbook KS-2 bottles come in Cobalt, Amber, Light Blue, and Moss Green.
I have what appears to be a KS-2 bottle in Clear (see picture). Is this a new variant ? If so, how rare is it ?
The...
Can anyone help me identify the following two poisons. I could not find them listed in my Kahn books.
The first is rectangular, clear, and has Vertical ribs on the front with “Poisonous†embossed in the center from the top to the bottom. It is approx. 6" tall.
Any guesses ? It is a square amber bottle with no embossing. The top is sealed with red wax, but also has a ground stopper wrapped in cloth. Is it a foreign poison or medical bottle ?
Recently added this KI-2 bottle to my collection. The picture does not do justice - it is beautiful. No faults visible. It is embossed with Melvin and Badger Apothocaries Boston Mass. I also have a couple of KI-2 bottles without embossing.
According to the books the KR-9 series of poisons are common and easy to find. I still think they are great bottles however. I picked these up over the last few years at garage sales and auctions. The largest one I found covered in dust in a box of misc. bottles at a garage sale. The lady sold...
I have a number of "pocket poisons" of various shapes and sizes. I cannot find any information on these type bottles in the books that I have by Rudy Kahn or Roger Durflinger.
Can any of you tell me anything about these bottles? Attached is a photo of a few of my larger ones.
Here are a few more from my collection including the following varieties:

I am relatively new to this field, as I only began collecting antique poisons about four years ago. I currently have around 70-80 bottles but many of them are the more common varieties. A few stand out however.
Here are a few of my favorites. The first is a KU-18 with the label, cork and...
