My buddy and I visited a campsite for the workers that built a spur 4 miles up the side of the mountain for the Beach Creek Railroad back in the 1870s-1880s. This included 2 tunnels, one is about 300 yards long antd the other is about 400 yards long.
Need some info on the bottle pictured on the left.. I thought that maybe it was a liquor bottle but the guy I bought it from said it was a medicine. The bottle is 10" tall & about a quart in size. Any help would be appreciated

Finally found A small dump to A old farm that was torn down back in the late 1950's. Took me 9 trips to this place to find the older stuff. 8 trips of ABM"s was starting to get old.The 9th trip I told my wife if I leave the camera home I might find something. Darned if it didn't work!!!!!!
Went for a day of dirt throwing yesterday. That's about all it was too, very few finds.Temp was in the 90s . Moved about 5 ton of dirt for what your about to see. Oh well I need to lose about 40 pounds so was a good day.
Finally a dig without snow. Nice!!! Snow went north of us this time, JOETHECROW country. Nice day but not lots of keepers. Lots of Castoria bottles,Yuk!!! Pic of bottles at the dig.
Found this bottle at my TOC dump Saturday. Never saw this one before. Can't find it in any of my books. Does anyone know anything about it.Dr. Gandy's Cough Syrup. Bottle is 6 5/8" tall. Thanks!!!

Went back to the dump yesterday. Forgot my camera again. Have a good excuse this time. Got a phone call 5:50 yesterday morning from my grandson in Iraq. Called to let us know he's packing his gear & leaving that hell hole. YAHOO!!!! What a great day even if I didn't find a lot of bottles. Pics...
Well I finally got back to the dump yesterday after 6 weeks of snow and cold weather. Didn't take the camera, knew it was going to be a sloppy mess. I was right, what a mess. Had fun though, here's some pics.
Went back to the diggins yesterday. Didn't take the camera with me this time. Hip's really bothering me so I took the bare esintial. Had to use my shovel as a cruch to get back to the car. 5 more months till retirement. Gotta love those golden years, Yukk!!Anyway, found basicly the same stuff...
The wife of one of my coworkers needs some information on this bottle. It's embossed Dr. H.F. PEERY'S other side DEAD SHOT VERMIFUGE & is 4" talls. Anything you can tell me would be great.
