Hometown buys

went back home for a weekend visit and picked up some bottles and jars from a old bottle collector I have known for years. went to buy the pair of squats but as usual I bought more. the very small I believe 1/2 pint lighting is one i've never seen with the unusual top. I really don't collect...

Finally found some milks

been looking around old city dump from the teens thru 60's for a couple of weeks and finally found some milks.they were moving some dirt recently at the dump and i found a qt and 1 pt and this 1/2 pt. was told by the locals that 2 were common but this 1/2 pt they had never seen before.anyone...

A few more i picked up this past weekend. IP Robinson dark green squat and a very tough to find William Nicholson squat both from Salem NJ. The parifin milk bottle mold is one of the coolest things i've seen in a long time.was made at the Anchor Hocking plant by a retired moldmaker a few years...

new additions from the weekend

picked up a new milk from my hometown when i visited over the weekend. JW Miller pint from Salem NJ.1 OF 4 known with a qt being damaged. been looking for this one for many years.man what a high when you find a rare local bottle.,i did pick up a few others i will post later.

Here's a pic of the J.A.Holland Rockford Ill hutch i found yesterday in a farm dump.also check out the cool indian mohawk liqueurs diamond pattern bottle with a square slugplate on the back for a lable.

2 New South Jersey Milks in the collection

picked up a pair of local milks the other day.7oz cream valley choc-o-shak woodstown nj made in 1928 and a Spear Oak Knoll Dairy Farm OK Pint from Vineland NJ. The half pint is a tough one to find and i really like it.[:)]the arrows on the spear is pretty cool also.[:)]

New Salem Co. NJ milks i got!

been trying for a long time to get these local Alloway NJ milks.it cost but worth it. F.A. Shivler,C.Peters and a rare Simkins Bros. all quarts, traded some squats to get them. milks#1 will try to get pics up soon.

new ones found recently

went back to a farm pit sunday and these were found on top or just below surface.a local blob water and a local medicine,a carr the bottler from philly and a parifin looking type jug lid.the dark one is a nice bim with a kick up base,very unusual.
