    Need ID on some bottles

The Belfast bottle is likely a ginger ale too, I just sold a lovely Belfast bottle on ebay but yours looks a bit older than mine did.

    Ancient dump

That is awesome! Knowing you found one gives me hope...I just knew CT/RI would have some ancient undug dumps. Sweet. Hope you find more!

    Selling sea glass on Ebay

RE: Sea glass marbles ? Hmm... See, I never would have expected river glass to come out looking just like sea glass! I've pulled insulators out of rivers here and you wouldn't even be able to tell they were in a river except that they're wet. [:D] I guess it all depends on the location, and...

    Selling sea glass on Ebay

RE: Sea glass marbles ? Hmm... Rhona, I'd say that pieces that are well worn found along a river could be considered sea glass. The frosting we associate with the pieces on the beach is usually determined by the PH of the water. You should see the difference between pieces I've found in...

    this one's full!

I bought a bunch of bottles at an auction recently...as I was going through the boxes of bottles I found two porcelain Chinese bottles ...one marked in English "Chinese Wine" and the other, "Mau Tai Liquor". The Mau Tai Liquor bottle is still sealed! [:D] Too bad I don't drink (much) lol...

    Selling sea glass on Ebay

RE: Sea glass marbles ? Hmm... I see you got a bid on your pottery! I have to get some of my stuff up soon. Here's all my marbles that I found so far, 3 were from the same beach :). I posted a whole lot more about sea glass on my blog too.

I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THESE AUCTIONS

One's been removed. I just feel bad for the people bidding on the other one, up to $306 now. I'd never bid that high on something from someone with no feedback whatsoever. I built my feedback first from buying and then started selling...even though I'm up to 37 now I still feel that's low!

    Selling sea glass on Ebay

You might be on the right track but those shards look more like something I'd find near the mouth of a river than on the beaches. There are a couple beaches I've been to in CT that have produced shards like that, unfortunately. Hint. Dig through piles of pebbles. It's where the sea glass...

    Selling sea glass on Ebay

RE: Sea glass marbles ? Hmm... And where is this beach?[:D] I go to the beach in the winter to hunt for sea glass. The colder, the better. I find awesome stuff! Vaseline glass, marbles, bottle necks...I want to go today but I'm getting sick and my car is in the shop. I'm itching to go...

    Selling sea glass on Ebay

RE: Sea glass marbles ? Hmm... Yes, it's actually quite easy to tell. Tumbled glass is just that, tumbled. Sea glass, on the other hand, gets a frosty look to it that's only created by the soda and lime leeching out of the glass and crystallizing again on the surface of the piece over a...

    Selling sea glass on Ebay

RE: Sea glass marbles ? Hmm... Collecting sea glass is what got me back into bottle digging. Trust me, you can tell the difference between a sea glass marble and a regular one. I've found about 5 different marbles so far and none of them are shiny like ones we might dig (oddly enough I still...

    Another jerk out there..

Yeah...less than $5 is really not worth the ebay hassle for me, but it did help me get my feedback ratings up. [:)] On ebay it seems you have to have something like more than 100 feedback to be trusted though (I have 100 on another site...but only 25 or so on ebay!) International shipping...

    New Bottle Site

Great job so far! Maybe on the pages where you don't have anything for sale you could put some kind of "coming soon" or if that sounds lame you could give yourself some kind of deadline and put that on the page. Without a message it looks unfinished and visitors won't know to look at the other...

    More bottles up on ebay

New bottles up this week, better than the last round but not much better....[:D]...or maybe they are! http://www.auctiva.com/stores/viewstore2.aspx?id=906382&styleid=120

    BAM Auctions

A standardized color chart would be fantastic. Not only are pictures misleading but some colors just don't photograph well. And it's hard to tell if one person's idea of citron is the same as another's. And then there are variations in colors, like different cokes manufactured in different...

acl milk half pints with pink tinge?

hey Red & beendiggin, thanks for your answers! Manganese under a UV blacklight has a faint yellow glow, but Selenium is supposed to glow reddish/orange (I found this out from collecting sea glass and trying to find vaseline/uranium sea glass, I always have a blast trying to date the glass...

acl milk half pints with pink tinge?

I'm getting 6 acl half pint milks ready for ebay and when I set them up on my white sheet to photograph I found they're not clear, but pinkish. Is this normal? They're not sun tinted lavender...they're lighter than depression pink but still not clear. Here's a pic of them next to a sun tinted...

    Citron Demijohn?

And another pic of the bottle for the color, but it's a little blurry. You can see the mold lines on both sides well--there's even a bubble going through the mold.
