Am I the only one who thinks that label looks too new and a little small for the bottle?

Naaa, I used to collect labeled house hold bottles and it is one of those early 30s til WW2 heavy ink type labels. They hang in there pretty good. Plus it has the usual ammonia staining on the inside that comes from pre 1950 ammonia, no rinsing and years of setting. I guess that could be faked but why.

Transferring this type of label seems like it would be hard to pull off (get it?). Seems like it's in just about perfect shape and someone would have to take a lot of trouble to steam it or something just to transfer and/or save a bit of ammonia. I will say that those depression era folks really did go to some far out lengths to save a dime though. I used to get the whole, "your grandmother used to walk four miles to save a dime riding the bus" routine from my dad. Took me awhile, but now I see what he was talking about...anyway, your guess is as good as mine.
