Hello everyone! It' s good to be back after a few months of family trips and activities. It' s great to come back to our forum and see it thriving! A special thanks to all those who have been responding to postings with opinions and knowledge; you' re terrific!

To relaunch my own participation in our forum, here' s my own puzzler. I' ve had this bottle for about 20 years. Bought it at a "cleaning out the cellar" sale at a very old Massachusetts home. The base is pontilled and has abrassive wear around the pontil. The neck also has a screwtop. It feel's and looks hand-applied, if there is such a thing for screwtops. The whole bottle is covered in acid-etched florals and designs. The glass is clear, but does have airbubbles, etc. Can anyone date this bottle for me and explain the combination of pontilled base and screwtop lip? Thanks so much. It' s really good to be back --Andy

I think the picture has finally loaded successfully ...
