My dad had been digging my backyard for years now because he turned it into sheds and a driveway. He asked me to dig out an area of a couple feet about 8 inches down. He started the job but when i came over to help finish i noticed a bunch of glass in a pile broken. There was glass bottles barried in my yard. I thought it had to be worth something so i told him i would finish. I scrambled up 80 good unbroken bottles. Im really wondering if you think this could be worth any money and how much. What i really want some help on is why and how could i find these bottles that were barried in my yard for ATLEAST 15 years.. can you give me any info you know

YOUR bottles look like they are from the 1930s/40s . They are not worth much to most collectors , because they are not old enough [most collectors like bottles from the 1800s/ early 1900s ] and are common . Of course any thing is worth what you can get out of it ! I suggest cleaning them with dish detergent and water .[Use a baby bottle brush or any bottle brush to clean the inside ] Sell them at a flea market or at a yard sell . Sell them for a quarter to $2 tops ,or sell the whole bunch for $ 10 or so ,to maybe make a fast sell . AND YES KEEP DIGGING because the farther down you dig the older the bottles can get! WHO knows you could find an unbeliveable bottle! THE house where you are digging was once a older house place ? I don't remember how old you said the house is where you are digging , but people used to throw there "trash" away not to far from the house . I hope this has helped you some how!

He said '80s, so I guess 1980s? Just kidding. That's a neat story. Don't throw anything away, you may want it later. Keep digging and let us know what happens.

Maybe he's still around and you just don't know it.
