bottledigging.co.uk is currently running a campaign to stop the sale of fake and repro pot lids and bottles on the eBay auction site. We have closed down the sale of over 15 items in the last 9 weeks. We believe we have have had a 100% susccess rate and are not aware of any items that have been missed by our team of eBay watchers

We have been concentrating on the UK site but now intend to expand our EBAY ALERTS worldwide and are interested in hearing from anyone who is aware of fake or repro items being sold on the Ebay site.

We reccomend you check out our EBAY ALERTS before bidding on Ebay

Welcome to the forum bottledigging, it's good to see a group of collectors doing something about the false advertising/ fraud that goes on there. I think eBay is the best thing to happen to the collecting world since they started clubs but stuff like fakes/repros sold as real items make it hard for newer collectors, unfortunatly the internet makes it easyer than ever for the dishonest element of the hobby.

Where should we put these on this forum? I had been posting them under current auctions and sales.

You could try posting a message on www.bottledigging.co.uk/phpBB2/portal.php We are not just alerting folks to the repros but actively forcing the seller to remove the offending item.
We have had a 100% success rate so far.

Hey Gidday,
You can post them under "scams add frauds" at the bottom the forum page.
