I ran across this Parker's Ink at an Antique Mall. It's the first Diamond Shaped ink I've seen so it was a must have for the collection. It's not that old , but it is an odd shape. Anyone have any clue why Parker would make an Ink in this shape?
Best I can figure is it was a relatively cheap design in a period of elaborate bottles. It's from the art deco period, when bottles and everything else were streamlined. I've dug a few of them through out the years, both in 40 era dumps. One is still on my moms window sill in the kitchen!
Thanks Matt. Art Deco, that would probably explain the shape. More of a streamline shape rather than a round or square shape, that would figure for that time period.. Because I didn't dig this one I had no idea of the time period on this one.
