I got bored and started rummaging through old boxes of dug bottles in the garage. Cleaning them up and rediscovering some of them, I came across these three lids, I know nothing about. An Oriental one. A folksy art one and a cute little one.

Anyone know anything about these. They came out of a TOC dump twenty years ago.

Bump.

I don't really care how much they are worth. I wish to identify them and find someone who has the bottom part and who would like to have the top. These were dug and of no value to me, regardless of what they are worth. They were part of a box of old dug bottles, one of many I have yet to go through.

I do have my own feelings about bottle hawks but do appreciate someone trying to piece back together, a little piece of history. I would be glad to help put these lids back onto the proper teapot. These are crude and I know I have a problem with throwing away anything. I guess it is the Yankee in me.

I'm sorry no one responded to you. I'm trying to learn more about tea antiques to. As I learn more about tea, its history and benefits the more I learn about its ceremonial past and present and I think the vessels add a lot to the substance. Good luck in finding your answers.

Hi Joel,
Sorry no one gave you any info. I'm sorry I can't help except to say have you gone to ebay and try to research there. It can be a wealth of info with pictures if nothing else. farmgal

Thanks Farmgal and recipes. I have been married for thirty years so I am use to being ignored, at times.

Nice to hear from you guys.

Recipes, welcome to the forum and what a nice surprise that I was your first post. Many more to you.

Those tea pot lids are from one of about 5 boxes of miscellaneous stuff, which probably would be valuable to the right person. I hate to throw them out but spring cleaning is on its way. I wish there was a bottle club I could donate it all to. I am sure there are things in here that someone would want.

Nice to hear from you guys.

Joel
