Although the jug is made of glazed stone, the finish looks similiar to a warm brown textured leather. It appears to have an applied handle. There is an incised anchor and German lettering on the upper portion of the bottle. Some of the lettering is hard to see but from what I can tell it reads, "GEORG KREUZBERG - AHRWEILER - . . . INPRFUSSEN". The lettering around the anchor reads, "APOLLINARIS - BRUNNEN". Under the handle it says "No 23"
Measures 11 3/4" high x 3 1/2" across base.
CLEAN excellent previously owned condition. No cracks, stains or repairs.
Not sure if I should put it on Ebay or not.
