Does anyone know what this Ruby Red Ladies Leg is?

Hello I have two suffolk pig bitters and two amber fish shaped bitter and one ladys leg dark ruby red bottle are they worth anything?

Hey Farwell,

All old bottles are priceless in my opinion..to quote an old saying..."They don't make them like that anymore!" but seriously....do you want to sell those two (or at least one) of those piggy bottles?...my wife and I used to raise hogs several years ago and now we just collect "pig" memorabillia (sp.)...and they would look great in our collection...I will pay for shipping...E me and let me know how much you think you need...or are you in for a little bartering??? Let's talk...

The ladies leg is a dark rudy red it is 12 1/2" tall and it look like a large U with a letter A in it embossed on the bottom anyone know what this is? Thanks

I don't find anything on your trademark, reference the rubby ladies leg. However find the top which is called Champagne. And find that some compounds are expensive such as Ruby , it takes one ounce of gold to produce sixty pounds of ruby glass.

Ruby Red bottle's - (what's the deal?)

Every now and then I come across a bottle at a show or antique show that
is pure red in color (not a flashed glass like many souvenier glasses or
vases) but a pure red glass. These bottles while not extremely rare are
somewhat unique as there are relativily few numbers of bottle shapes and
styles that are made in this eye catching color. Anchor Hocking was one
of the primary glass companies that put out these bottles - for schlitz
beer, the cost of producing these bottles were much to high for the
process to continue (it required expensive elements to be added to the
molten glass (including remote traces of gold in some cases)) some of the
bottles never made it out of the manufacturing process since they were
test bottles. Other brands like schlitz were made in relativly high
numbers and still can be found quite resonabilily priced for around $20.
These bottles are alwalys sought after because of their great color -
there are at least four bottles that were made in ruby red color probably
more!

I looked at the bottle some more I cant find any seams so it make me think it is blowen glass and at the top lip I put my finger in it and I can feel were the lip was put on if this helps any to ID it.

Hi Dr. J. I just got this (below) pig salt shaker (maybe pepper, has 3 more holes in it's head than my one[

] in a cigar box full of stuff from a garage sale. (I was buying the box not contents, the box was $1.00)I'd guesstimate it at vintage 1950's? If you want it just let me know where to send. (One old bottle to another.)

lobeycat is correct in fish bottles, i used to have a few dug. There was also a rectangular one in our collection. amber and embossed fish on side of it. Cod liver oil.
