This one is interesting to me, as the older back label and u7p embossing would normally indicate an eight-bubble front label.
Although it has the same 'three-bubble' left column as an 'eight-bubble' label, a bubble seems to have been omitted in the center column.
Could this unusual layout be one of the very first bottles to make the change from eight to seven bubbles? Thanks, Bob

I'm not sure what is up with these early LA bottles. It is the only one I know that has the bubble missing in that spot. I also believe it is the only 6 1/2 oz 7up that was produced. Most 7ups were 7oz at that time with the exception of the LA 6 1/2oz and a 6oz that was produced only in Alabama.

One more thing to add--The bubble girl on the LA bottle is different than any of the bubble girls I have seen . She is shaped a little different and only only one of her feet is visible. Also the bubbles above her head are in a different formation than the standard bubble girl bottle.

Thanks for the interesting information. I took a gamble on this one, trusting the seller's "The bubbles are all there."
My favorite bottle (7up Bottle #2 in the forum) is a 6 1/2 oz. from Fresno, and I'd like to believe that the back label with "Alkaline Reaction" makes it one of the earliest ACL 7ups, but haven't found much info about it.
I was pretty sure I had a 6 oz. bottle, and when I found it, sure enough, Birmingham.
I'll certainly check for Tennessee bottles, and would be happy to swap them out as location isn't a prime factor for me. Cheers, Bob

That Alakaline Reaction bottle you posted sure is nice. It looks like there is more than one 6 1/2ouncer ouncer out there too.
