Thanks to Ry I've been adding to my growing collection of York PA Bottles. These are all John J. Boll. The blob is clear with a hint of SCA. The middle hutch is clear and the right one is aqua.

Thanks guys! Its funny how on this forum sometimes theres so much good stuff going on that you get no replies, though people look - then months, even years later back it comes around once more.

I remeber digging that blob like it was yesterday, 24th dec 2006. Im gona have to find you a nice colored boll now Steve, a nice amber hutch or citron blob....We can only dream right lol, take care brotha

what does SCA mean? [8|]
i heard it the past week several times. my books are in other room. the laptop keeps crashing. so i usually google everything, but would someone be kind enough to tell me what it means?

Star,

SCA means sun colored amethyst. Manganese was used as a clearing agent from late 19th century up to around WWI. The manganese glass, when exposed to sunlight, turns an amethyst color.
