Thanks again madman! Seems a lot of the bottles I'm finding are household product. I have 3 cute little Esquire Scuff Kote bottles. One still has the applicator in it. I really enjoy finding such small bottles. Do you have any idea why there are so many karo bottles, log cabin bottles and heinz ketchup bottles? Was it cheap or what? Going digging tomorrow...very excited. Farmgal.
i feel yer pain about the catsups, karos , ive found tons of hienz bottles mustards whiskeys, those get reburied for the next generation of diggers who will redig the dumps in the future and say icant believe they left all this beind lol , as far as i can tell ketchup mustard, peanutbutter, laxitives and alot of booze ruled the 30s and 40s mike
Morning madman....
Reburied!!! To funny! Knowing me I'd redig them...LOL!! I was scolling back and saw your bug spray bottles. Damn cute! Is that what they held or just what they are called? Boy I hate being dumb..hehe!! farmgal...going digging...
yo heres a pix of a bug sprayer from the 40s when they were empty they tossed them in the dump the metal part rusted away and what you have left is a bug spray bottle
Wow what a wealth of knowledge. I so enjoy seeing old things as they were. Seems a bit annoying to have such a small container to fill just to kill bugs..Does it work on EXs LOL!!! sowwy...not!
I remember bug sprays from the late 50s - early 60s. I REMEMBER THE ALL METAL ONES , "BLACK FLAG" specially. Best of my memory[which ain't too good] the fly basically had to be drowned in some of the stuff! Wonder people didn't fall out from all the sprayed chemicals! FLY SWATTERS WERE REALLY BETTER CAUSE OF THE CHEMICALS AND ALL FLYS WEREN'T GONNA BE KILLED ANY WAY!
