Those are COOL!! Something tells me the one on the right was for absynthe... that's what I'd keep in it! -Charlie

Is the one on the right,old?Do you know the orgin? Never seen the one on the left,either.

Hey Star,Good to hear from you.Hope all is well.I posted a picture of my basement in the collectors chat under"Christmas in So.Cal?"That is a pretty good indication
The flask on the right is refered to as a pinch waist chestnut flask(European) 1820-1850.I believe I've seen more modern versions.
I have no idea about the other flask.

Was picking up my beers for the weekend when I spotted a familiar bottle design.. "Louis XIII Grand Champagne Cognac" ..with a nice stopper and boxed.. a steal at $1,700...!!

The bottom four fin thingys on my bottle are broken,and no stopper.Partical polished pontil.Anyway,I couldn't pass it up at $0.99.

I love both your flasks. The one on the right is very whimisical. Im into whimisical type things..
with my art, doodles, some glassware and other items I've picked up... [;)]

Hi ajohn, That bottle on the right is a neat illustration of riggare. It is created with a pulled ribbon of glass and laid on from one end to the other with tongs and the percella tool. I don't know much else about it though. Is the center pinched together? RED Matthews
