GuntherHess, they don't really have any laws for a person to collect Hawaiian artifacts, but they are strict about where you get the artifacts from, they are caves that have Hawaiian artifacts and other ancient sites that have artifacts, these sites are restricted to everyone, last year a couple of guys stole some artifacts from a cave on the Big Island and selling it to a dealer, that in turn was selling it on e bay, these guys where busted and sentence to some jail time, the artifacts that I've found where on sugar cane field land digging for bottles, I figured that the area was once a village of some sort because I found a couple of artifacts, here's another picture of a Hawaiian grinder that was slightly damaged, these grinder was used to grind medicine (all found in the same area)
