This Pontiled bottle measures approx. 5 1/2" tall X 3 1/2" wide. It is round like a grapefruit but flattened on the bottom It is free blown and reminds me of a saddle flask but much smaller. A single dripped on sloppy ring adorns the neck...Where might it have been made, what year, usage and approx value? No chips scrapes or cracks accept wear marks on the base... Thnx again, Taz

Taz, this doesn't add much to the subject, but I had one of these bottles years ago (about 30 years ago) and I've never found anything about it. The bottle appears to be made at about the same time as the saddle flasks and has a strong resemblance with the the gloppy ring. The pontil is European or Middle Eastern and, if you notice, the neck is a bit heavier than what we normally see here in the States. I sure wish someone comes in and gives a good, accurate answer.
