nice, keep at it for sure. That looks like a browns Iron Bitters, 1880's at the latest think. Those kind of dumps can really suck, all roots and water, but are often worth digging... Hope it dries out for ya come the warm months..

Is that an insulator shard in the first group shot? Would you mind posting a photo of that?
Looks like you're moving a lot more dirt than I have been in the last 3 or 4 months. We had an early winter around these parts, and it simply doesn't want to go away, either!
