I stumbled across this website just now and was quite surprised to read about how people have learned to turn "plain" potlids into desireable printed ones using "transfers". http://www.deantiques.com/PLG/reproductions__copies.htm
Something else for everyone to keep in mind. These fakes are quite good in my opinion and me not being an expert in potlids, I would definatley have been fooled.
