I just pulled a black glass (VERY DARK green) whiskey out of a swamp. Embossed PATENT on shoulder and LIVERPOOL DIXIN & Co. on bottom with an 8 pointed star. Quite old 3 piece with low seams. Any ideas on history and maybe value? Thanks . T.

like to see a pic, might be interested in buying it too... couldnt give ya price at the moment though with out seeing, I'm not familiar with the English ones...

Sounds like this bottle may be from the 1860,s but would need to see the bottom to check whether it is pontiled.

The bottom is not pontiled but you may be on target for the age. It's hard to tell when it seems to be from England. I'll try to get some pics up soon. Thanks T.
