While doing some research on some local druggists lately I came across an ad from either 1829 or 31, advertising Powders for making your own Saratoga Waters.. I don't have a copy yet, but those are the words used.. For one it seems early for Saratoga waters, I know some were discovered early on but didn't think they would have had popularity in the midwest by this time. And better yet, powdered water is about as silly as you can get.. Has anyone encountered ads like this or knows anything about these products?

No but when I was a kid my grand parents kept these flavored beverage tablets called Fizzies. You dropped the tab in a glass of water it dissloved and the result was carbonated beverage. Like Alkaseltzer.....pop pop fizz fizz

That new medicine "Airborne" is like drinking soda - Maybe it wasn't really designed by a school teacher. Maybe she found an old recipe.
