Has anyone ever seen a medicine bottle aprox 5 or 6" tall, bim, amber, with "Bayer" embossed on the front in a cross? Actually more of a plus sign as it is equal in size in both directions?

I had one up until about 15 years ago when the floating shelf it was on came tumbling down. I have never seen another and would like to replace it in my collection as it was a favorite of mine.

No Jamie, it was not a screw cap, I "think" it was bim with, if I remember correctly a single (applied??) ring lip. It's been awhile and I didn't know as much about bottles then as I do now. No, no picture of it. Back then I didn't care about taking pics of my bottles. It is one of my early yard sale finds from when I was a teenager and I just always liked it. I don't think it was bayer aspirin because it was the shape of a medicine, not a pill bottle, but it is the traditional logo for Bayer aspirin except that the embossing was inside of a cross shape. I don't remember if it had the circle around it or not.

I found that in 1867 they had a product that was an extract from willow tree bark so maybe it contained something along those lines. I wasn't the shape of a traditional extract but who knows, it could have been. I've been trying to find a picture of it on the web but no luck.

It wasnt the Bayer Heroin was it? Matt (Guntherhess) had a picture entered in his July bottle contest.I thought it was amber...
No, that's not it. That one is a label only bottle and it's round. Plus it's aqua (I think) It's a black and white photo so it's hard to tell. That was my entry by the way[:)]
The bottle I'm talking about is rectangular in shape like many meds except I seem to recall it had sloping shoulders.
