While sorting out my extras, I noticed this "double die" stamped in the middle of the base of the bottle. I have dug around 50 of these Bitterquelles, but this one is the only one with the double strike. I have seen a few other bottles with double strikes at some shows; Any of you have similar bottles?

Multiple embossing doesnt really have the same significance in bottle collecting as it does in coin collecting. On coins it would be an error and tends to increase value while with bottles it is an indication of poor blowing and could possibly make a bottle less attractive.
Not to say that it isnt interesting to study.

Ive got a bunch of bottles where this happened, but not on my bitterquelles. Mostly its just like a printed 5 on the bottom or something like that that was double striked.
