I got the bottle and the silver dollar to day in the mail. I was getting flash backs from the Ebay junkie days hahaha.
I thought I had the same Barry's when you first said what the prize was but turns out I didn't. I have Barry's for the hair.This one is for is for the skin and hair,and it says "Directions in the Pamphlet" in large embossing on the other side of the bottle.I like this one better. The 1923 Liberty buck is cool to.

Sounds like you have one of the early Barry's. Does it have a shorter neck?
I had one of the earliest ones years ago but the cat knocked it off the shelf.

Anyway, cool bottle. I really like it. About what year is it? The letters look ancient.

Well I went and hunted up my BARRY'S bottles. I have two of them. one is older than the other, though they both have open tube pontils. The oldest one is shorter and has sloppy glass under the finish. The both have cold mold ripple. The oldest one has the front panel embossed "/ TRICOPHEROUS FOR THE HAIR ". The newer one has
"/ TRICOPHEROUS FOR THE SKIN AND HAIR ". On the newer ont the back panel has "/ DIRECTIONS IN THE PAMPHLET " it also has a little longer neck. The newer one also has a venting dot in the center of a circle and the ring of the open pontil is thinner but still sharp around the edges. Neat old bottles anyway.

Had some last night and it went down real smooth.[;)]

I think the early ones also have a recessed chamfer on the corners as opposed to the simple bevel on the later ones. Its nice to be able to have bottles from different stages of manufacturing evolution to compare. I would guess the early one is from the 1840s when Alexander Barry started and the newer one is probably 1850-1860 or so.
