This past weekend I bought a box lot of bottles at an auction. There was a blob top bottle in it with no names or anything embossed on it. The only thing embossed on it is ' This bottle not to be sold'. I always thought blobs were embossed if made for a company ? Did some manufacturers use labels, and mine is simply missing? Or is this bottle like a sample of what a bottler was capable of making ?Sorry no pics my camera was K.I.A to weeks ago. []

That sounds more like a bottle meant for a paper label, which most embossed ones had as well, just that yours was most likely made as a stock bottle by a glass factory without a particular bottling company in mind.. they were probably a bit cheaper that way, too.
