Strange pontiled ink

My friends and I recently dug this ink in a privy that dated no earlier than 1850ish. But we think the ink could be earlier. It has a solid rod pontil mark on the bottom. And its one none of us have seen before. I was wondering if anybody here has seen it before and has some info on it. Thanks Don

My thought as well, Miles. C'ept, I'd spell it Bertinguiot. I remembered this older thread, The neck and finish on those seem different, and all the Bertinguiots I saw were embossed.

Don, focus is your friend, maybe outside to pick up the color. It does seem Bertinguiotesque, though.

We thought it looked something like a bertinguiot ink also but not really . This one I think is free blown there are no mold marks on the bottle. I tried to get some better pics outside I hope this worked
