Carling, do you have this one? The Saegertown bottles with the "cut-away" on the label from Pennsylvania are quite common. But, this Saegertown with the "full-color" background and no "cut-away" from Cleveland is difficult to find, and I would rate it as VR for very rare. bottlingco

Good question. I never know how to say it correctly, but what I mean by "cut away" is that there are places in the label where the paint is cut back to the glass, as opposed to a solid background behind it. I will show a couple of examples in a few minutes. I will need to go take the pictures. Then I will post them here so you can see the difference. bottlingco

Here is an example of a "cut-away" and "full color" label. Although not always the case, in the case of these 2 Antelope Beverages bottles, the full color version is the more difficult to find. Again, that is not always the case, by any means. As a side note, these are from Lancaster, California. Thanks for the question. bottlingco

Bottlingco,

I do have the Saegertown bottle. And also the same Cleveland Saegertown bottle label but it is a Red/White acl instead of the blue/white, and its on green glass.

There is also another Cleveland Saegertown bottle called Half and Half, with a yellow and red acl.

I can post a photo if you would like to see them.

I also have the Marvel quart, but in green glass. I'm still trying to pick up a 12 ouncer. If you would like to possibly trade your clear glass quart, maybe I can find you something.

Thanks for posting your photos!

Rick

Yea, I agree, I've never heard cut away, but it makes sense. It's amazing how many variations of bottles there are. Nice bottles.
