Someone must have found a cache of these babies. Coming up for auction on ebay regularly, they are, always attic mint. Approximately every six months there's another example up for bid.

Years ago, we dug one of those, along with a punker from the SF saloon, in Woodland, of all places. Someone visited that bar and brought back a couple of souvenirs, only to later toss 'em down the toilet hole. At the time, the "football" brought a C and the seed only $35. While not rare, they are scarce and colorful, so are in demand by Western collectors.

Whoah, that is a sweet bottle!

In the links provided to past auctions, one sold for 1,000 and another for 800. Not too shabby.

I've got a Newman's Richelieu pumpkinseed pint...it's the same Newman according to Thomas' book.
This was a $50 purchase at the Santa Rosa show from Sean Smith in the early 1990s.
